Bar Refaeli Celebrates SI Swimsuit Launch

The Sports Illustrated made a splash with the launch of the 2008 Swimsuit issue on Tuesday night. Bar Refaeli and all of the fellow SI models were on hand to help usher in another year of beautiful ladies in the tiniest bathing suits imaginable. She's wearing a body-con Roberto Cavalli lace-trim dress that make her looks fabulous and she doesn't need a bikini to be perfect.

2008 SI Swimsuit Bathing Suit Season Has Begun

The highly anticipated bathing suit season has begun. The 2008 Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue hit newsstands Tuesday with model Marisa Miller adorning the cover of the annual showcase of the hottest beach bodies. In the this year issue, SI wanted to takes readers to exotic locations around the globe with the world's most beautiful women like Marisa Miller, Bar Refaeli, Ana Beatriz Barros, Jessica White and more than a dozen of other models.

“This is a visually powerful issue with numerous surprises that underlines the very best of the Swimsuit issue heritage,” says Terry McDonell, Editor, Sports Illustrated Group.

This year's sexyfest features race car driver Danica Patrick, four athlete wives, 12 NFL cheerleaders and Will Ferrell and Heidi Klum in a special Semi Pro photo shoot. Also, body painting is back for the 10th year.

Featuring 19 models, the photo shoots took place in Israel and Russia for the first time. Other exotic locations for the steamy spread included the Cayman Islands, St. John, the Virgin Islands and Maui.
