Cuban-American actress Eva Mendes has snuck onto the scene in box office hits "2 Fast 2 Furious" and critical hits "Training Day", but if her latest role is any indication, we haven't seen anything from this star yet.
Mendes' latest role in "We Own the Night" starts off with a steamy sex scene between her and co-star Joaquin Phoenix. But Mendes isn't your average sex symbol. Mendes told Fox News, "When you are exposing yourself emotionally and physically that's so frightening."
After heating up screens with Phoenix, Mendes is set to star alongside an all-star female cast, including Meg Ryan and Annette Bening, in "The Women," directed by Diane English. She will also wield her superpowers as Sand Saref in "The Spirit."
