Johnny Depp receives award from Anne Hathaway
Here's the new tattoo of the famous 'Pirates' Johnny Depp in MTV Movie Awards. The beautiful tattoo has a deeper meaning… “Silence, Exile, Cunning.”
It is actually a quotation from one of the most read books "A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man," by James Joyce, a precursor of modernism write.
At five pages of the end of the book, we can find this quote, from the main character Stephen:
“I will tell you what I will do and what I will not do. I will not serve that in which I no longer believe, whether it call itself my home, my fatherland, or my church: and I will try to express myself in some mode of life or art as freely as I can and as wholly as I can, using for my defense the only arms I allow myself to use - silence, exile, and cunning.”
We know that Johnny is an avid reader and he enjoys painting and collecting artwork in his spare time. The tattoo should have its meaning at this stage of his life.
