Catholics are raising holy hell over Playboy's decision to put a nude Maria Florencia Onori as the Virgin Mary for their magazine cover.
In response to the controversial, the publisher of Playboy Mexico apologized and stated,
“While Playboy Mexico never meant for the cover or images to offend anyone, we recognize that it has created offense, and we as well as Playboy Mexico offer our sincerest apologies.”
“The image is not and never was intended to portray the Virgin of Guadalupe or any other religious figure. The intent was to reflect a Renaissance-like mood on the cover.”
Why is this so offensive? Is that because she's standing by a stained glass window or at somewhere like church. Hey, it's just a picture people! What do you think?
